Dear Center for Justice and Democracy Supporter,

We are starting a search for so-called “tort reformers”, doctors who are calling for limits to patients’ rights in the civil justice system. We want to find out how much these physicians earn per year that they want caps on medical  malpractice survivors’ non-economic damages. It hardly seems fair that doctors earning half a million dollars every year would want to limit a patient’s compensation to $250,000 in non-economic damages over the course of a lifetime.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Please send us the names of non-profit hospitals in your area. With this information, we can look up the income of the five highest paid employees at the hospital.

Also, if there are particular doctors in your area who are very active and visible in their promotion of “tort reform”, send us their names, too.

If you want to do some web research on this project yourself, write to me at rebecca@centerjd.org and I’ll tell you how to get started.

Have a great weekend. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Rebecca
