Dear CJ&D Supporter,
The threat to limit medical malpractice survivors' rights is heating up again in the Senate. On July
7th, Senator Ensign of Nevada is expected to introduce S. 11, a med mal bill. The bill will be
brought up on the Senate floor on July 7, which means they will likely be voting on it July 9 or
10. We have not seen the bill yet. We will let you know as soon as we find out what's in it.
All Senators are home this week. If you hear that your Senator is planning to be in your town at an
event, try to be there to make your voice heard. Call into local talk radio shows.
Most importantly, please take a moment now to call your Senators' district and DC offices and tell
them torejectany medical malpractice bill that takes away patients' rights.
